Analyzing Middle School & High School Math Exams – Tools and a Process for Sites and Districts

February 28, 2020 – 8:30am- 3:30pm – FREE, 3300 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85012- 16th Floor

This learning event will focus on the analysis of final exams or EOC exams through the use of tools and processes.  The criteria for analysis are based on CCSSO-s Criteria for Procuring and Evaluating High-Quality Assessments, and include alignment to standards (including practices), balance of rigor (conceptual understanding, procedural fluency and skills, and application), cognitive complexity, and quality. This experience is designed to help teams utilize specific tools for district and school site assessment analysis and to seek feedback on the usefulness of the tools and processes.

Ted Coe from Achieve will facilitate this session.

Please bring a team of 4-5 teachers and math leaders to work together as we learn how to examine our own assessments and to create assessments that reflect the full intentions of the Arizona Mathematics Standards.

Please bring an assessment that you would like to review with your team.  Please bring enough copies for your team.
